It appears the quality control coach background could be a common theme in managerial position job hunt. The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported, citing a source, that Royals quality control and catching coach Pedro Grifol interviewed Thursday to take over for former Giants skipper Bruce Bochy after he announced his retirement.
