Mark Buerhle- Perfect Game

Absolutely thrilling last two innings. Not to shabby with a No-No and now a perfect game on his resume. Brilliant pitching by Mark today. Dewayne Wise made a beautiful catch over the fence in the 9th to save the perfect game. Reminded me of Rowand saving the day for Sanchez on his no-no.

Against the Rays offense no less as well.

man i feel so stupid for spelling Buehrle's last name wrong. I wonder why we can't edit subject titles.
That was such an amazing catch to save the perfect game. I have a feeling we'll be seeing replays of that catch for years. Too bad Uribe couldn't field that ground ball cleanly :(

Great game, I'm just mad it comes so close to Sanchez's no-no...

The first thing that's amazing about the whole play is the fact he was somehow able to get there. He ran a long, long way to even have a chance at making the play. Considering most OF's play shallow when a no-no is on the line so the pitcher doesn't get beat by a bloop single.

Then he is able to leap over the fence and make the catch and lose control for a brief period of time then somehow his non-glove hand is able to secure it. Just crazy. Watching it live got me so pumped up.
Great catch. And the perfect game happened to a great pitcher/guy. Congrats to Buerhle.
fuuuuuuuuuuck
The Uribe remarks are what I thought of first. Wow.

Did anyone notice that the Ump behind the plate was the same ump behind the plate for Buerhle's previous No-hitter and that he had not been behind the plate for a Buerhle start since then. hmmmmm.
