Seriously? You want to bring up someone from single A straight to big leagues? That's ridiculous. Barnes was at least two years out. Also, I don't know if you saw but Bumgarner got rocked yesterday and tried to bean two hitters before getting thrown out of the game. His velocity was also down 4-5 mph last night, he's definitely not ready either. No one is worried about him hurting himself in the least. You don't rush a top five prospect when it isn't necessary. Kevin Pucetas or Joe Martinez will be next up in the rotation if Sadowski doesn't get his **** together, and quick.

Your also aware the college graduates pitch in Single A not just 18 year olds. Most scouts equate Division I baseball to Double AA. So the notion of bringing a player up from High A, let alone Double AA is not out of the question.
If Sadowski doesn't pitch well, I would hope we bring up Pucetas for a look. It was talked about in Spring Training he was up for the 5th spot.
I am all for that. We need to see who can pitch up here and who can't. Sadowski was figured out fast. Let's see what Pucetas has. Corriea would be nice right about now.

I don't know if now is the best time to bring in guys for 1 start auditions from the farm.

You see Corriea more than us now and I'd like to have a guy with MLB notches on his gun, too.

I bet we could scrounge a guy who's frustrated in his role or may not be in future plans of a team to come on board.

The White Sox may give up on Colon and I already mentioned Rodrigo Lopez whp will be expendable soon.

I bet there are others if we look. It may be a bigger need than another bat.

Thanks for the lesson . Two pitchers younger than him and much better than him (Alderson/Bumgarner) have already been promoted and he hasn't. What does that tell you? The front office isn't "babying" our top prospects. They simply aren't ready to come up to the bigs, and there is absolutely no reason to rush them.

So toying with batters that are not his equal helps his development or just his confidence. I would rather have him learning from Timmy, Cain, and RJ. Its not rushing them at all....how old ws Mr. Cain when he came up? 20. What do you call a front office that won't play young guys......babying.
yeah then if you bring him up too early and he doesn't succeed you guys will blame the FO for bringin him up too early

seems like everyone just wants a reason to complain

Corriea has been the padres best starter without question this year. When he pitched for the giants he did fine. Its mind boggling to see what they keep and what they let go, who gets called up who doesn't and for how long they get a shot. They love of old guys is what's going to keep them out fo the playoffs for years to come.

I would rather watch them develop and get the fans buzzing at the ballpark then to watch them continually throw in patchwork guys.

Did you or did you not read what was said about Bumgarner's start yesterday? He lasted all of two innings maxing out in the high 80's and then proceeded to get ejected for throwing behind a batter. He also gave up six hits and three runs. That's not an outing I would like to see as a GM. It's not babying when there is absolutely NO reason to bring him up and rush him. Bumgarner and Alderson still have command issues at times and are deemed not ready right now by the Giants personnel. That's enough for everyone here besides you.
