Friday, July 11 - Diamondbacks - 7:15 PM - Lincecum vs Bolsinger
Saturday, July 12 - Diamondbacks - 1:05 PM - Vogelsong vs Miley
Sunday, July 13 - Diamondbacks - 1:05 PM - Bumgarner vs Anderson

Let's regain the top spot!

This will be the defining series of the year.... One game back and a last place team in town.... But a team that has already taken a series from the Giants in SF this year.... Dodgers get the Padres and can put us in the rear view mirror for good if we fail.... And failure is imminent.... Another garbage lineup tonight.... No Posey.... but lot's of Panik.... and Sanchez and Colvin to share in the ineptitude.... Throw in Lincecum and the Giants only have 5 guys capable of hitting.... Throw in Belt and Crawford and they only have 3 guys hitting over .241.... Pitiful.... It's going to take a Superman effort from Timmy tonight.... But Goldschimdt is his kryptonite.... and Hill absolutely owns him .... And Timmy has lost 5 straight decisions to this team.... including two this year.... The only thing positive is that the Giants get a struggling Bolsinger.... But he shut the Giants down despite getting the loss earlier this year.... If Eric Stolts can beat you.... Bolsinger is just as capable.... Trumbo back in the lineup for the DBacks too.... If you have given up hope already.... The pain isn't as great.... This team is truly terrible.... But I'm still clinging....

Nice to see Lincecum pitch well again.... Against a team that has owned him....And then the offense scores 5 runs on 10 hits to support him.... Weird.... Not sure what to make of it.... But they actually looked like a legitimate MLB team last night.... Dodgers lose to cap it all off.... And one of the worst teams in baseball is again tied for first.... Weird.... Scutaro is back in the lineup today.... But that's cancelled out by the insertion of Arias and Blanco.... No freaking idea what Blanco has on this coaching staff.... There has got to be a reason other than things associated with baseball that keeps him in the lineup.... Because at this point.... there is no valid baseball reason he should be anywhere close to an MLB lineup.... Sickening.... Win a game.... Then insert Arias and Blanco into the lineup.... Come on, Bochy.... WTF.... I don't want to hear about match ups either.... WTF, Bochy.... Time to manage from the gut.... And the contents of the collective guts of your entire fan base are expelled violently whenever we see those two do nothing's step on the field.... Pathetic.... This is really on Sabean though....What's a manager to do when his GM took the winter off.... Again....

How did that taste.... Getting shut out is pretty much par for the course lately.... But painful.... Still.... And here's the troubling aspect of all this.... And it's on Bochy.... There really wasn't a logical reason to remove Crawford and Colvin.... His gut should have told him to keep Friday's lineup in place except for the addition of Posey in place of Sanchez.... Especially coming off a solid win.... And yet he rolls out the lineup he did.... Career match ups should have reinforced it too.... Crawford was hitting lefties at a .329 clip while Arias was hitting them at a .184 clip.... Colvin was hitting lefties at a .294 clip while Blanco was hitting them at a .244 clip.... Crawford and Colvin also had career advantages against Miley.... Crawford is better defensively over Arias.... And any advantage Blanco may have had defensively over Colvin is mitigated by the fact that he is a terrible base runner with zero power.... So what the hell was that lineup about today.... This is a critical series.... One that the Giants can't afford to lose.... And yet.... We got what we got.... Puzzling.... I go with the best I have when my back is against the wall.... But that wasn't the case for the Giants today.... Brutal.... This team is terrible right now.... Bochy is not much better....

What's on tap today.... Blanco, Arias.... And another loss.... How bad of a base runner do you have to be to get benched?.... Didn't know that a .223 average and general base running incompetence equals automatic insertion into the starting lineup.... 2013 wasn't enough?..... We've sent this guy to the plate 1181 times since 2012.... Seriously.... Offensively he's a scrub.... Defensively he's a scrub.... With the only justification to have him in the lineup being his RTOT as strictly a center fielder.... Screw any stat conversation or other reason he might be in the lineup.... Like defensive inadequacies of other players in the lineup.... Go with the gut.... We suck with Blanco....

Ok. Doing much better than June. But still not great. Time to regroup after the All-Star break.
