Giants at Padres series thread- starts 7/4/14

The A's get Samardzija and Hammel and a walk off for their 4th of July festivities ... And we get nothing but Juan Perez in center field and a pathetic effort for ours....Over the last three games the Giants have been shut out by both the pitcher with the most wins in the NL .... And the pitcher with the most losses.... This is truly painful to watch.... Matt Cain will drain this franchise of over 100 million dollars.... And a good portion of its soul.... While giving us nothing but the occasional close loss.... Garbage.... The Dodgers are a well oiled machine.... The Giants are a smoldering heap of broken parts.... Football season can't get here soon enough....

Well that was both huge and unexpected... a few outs away from another demoralizing and sad loss.... Then Morse returns from wherever the hell hes been since the end of May and goes yard.... It was nice.... even my dog knew this was a special occasion and ran around the house excitedly.... then he hid in the closet while Romo almost blew it.... animals are smart.... so if you can't fool a black lab.... Sabean can't fool the majority of Giant fans.... despite yesterday.... this team needs help.... this is not an organization that you can stand pat with.... they either have to be buyers or sellers.... I suppose a good case can be made that being sellers would be the better way to go long term.... But screw that.... This isn't some small market team where the fan base is not being gouged for every penny they have.... Pay back the loyalty and all those consecutive sell outs with some effort to get better this month.... We expect it.... This isn't Miami.... Lincecum dealing today.... It would be nice to win this series....

It looks like Timmy had another good outing yesterday. Athletics up next.

Good to see Lincecum doing well again. Maybe it is just against the Padres, but it could be a confidence builder.

Nice series win.... Great to see Lincecum pitching like the guy we all remember.... Panik in the number two slot paid off with an opposite field double.... and Pence seems to be able handle the leadoff spot.... Although he shouldn't be there.... Romo is in an absolute nightmare.... The guy is getting pounded like pre-Kanye Kim.... everybody.... Congratulations to Pence and Bum.... Good to see them represent.... At the break last year the Giants were 6 1/2 out.... Crashing to Earth by going 18-34 combined in June and July.... Let's hope this isn't a repeat.... This resembles 2013 so much.... About to see the best team in baseball for the next four games.... I would be happy with a split....
