Sunday, June 15 - Rockies - 1:05 PM - Bumgarner vs Nicasio

Happy Father's Day weekend everyone!

There may be trouble in paradise.... Last night will be a reference point.... Whether or not it's a turning point will be the key.... This team has played beyond any realistic expectation.... Smoke, mirrors, the long ball and Hudson.... The long ball has disappeared.... The mirror might have been shattered by Blanco.... The Nats took the smoke machine with them when they left.... And the only thing left is Hudson.... And Bum I guess.... Gaping hole at second base.... Injuries.... Terrible bench.... Questionable bullpen.... Questionable rotation.... This all adds up to a quick and dramatic nose dive into reality.... Last night we may have lost an engine.... Strap the belts down as tightly as possible and pray.... Last night put us into descent....

Or it could have been just a bad game.... ....

It rhymes with moon and arrives in June and is currently pounding on the front door.... that was sickening.... Pagan playing center field worse than a tee baller.... Romo choking again.... Not sure where they go from here.... Current 7 game lead feels like it is just delaying the inevitable.... No idea why Arias and Adrianza are taking up roster spots.... Hard to watch.... Sad to see.... Time to drink.... Where that 90 minute at....

Arias, Adrianza, Perez... Terrible.... Sanchez, Blanco, Colvin.... barely serviceable.... All adds up to a poorly constructed bench that provides little if any help.... A starting rotation with 2 quality starters.... A highly questionable bullpen.... A catcher that can't possibly remain at the position for much longer.... The list goes on.... Rockies were 0-24 in games they trailed after 7 innings.... They are now 3-24.... Teams go through bad stretches.... And the June swoon is officially here.... Let's just hope that the glaring deficiencies in this roster can somehow be mitigated with the return of Belt and Casilla.... Cause this lead may be gone by the end of the month.... And it may be too late to make a deal to help....

We've lost 6 of the last 7 and are losing a little ground in the NL West. We gotta turn things around.

What's the worst is how we lost these last few games. We had them. Just pathetic. The bullpen just fell apart.

Ok.... I might need to step back and breathe a little.... Losing 6 of 7 and still having a 6 game lead after tonight isn't too bad.... Split with the Sox.... Then take 2 of 3 against the DBacks to make life better.... Not going to fix the abysmal bench.... Or the hole at second base.... But just ease the pain a little.... The glass is half full for 19 hours or so....
