Official Diamondbacks at Giants series thread - starts 4/8/14

Tuesday, April 8 - Diamondbacks - 1:35 PM - Hudson vs Cahill
Wednesday, April 9 - Diamondbacks - 7:15 PM - Lincecum vs Arroyo
Thursday, April 10 - Diamondbacks - 7:15 PM - Vogelsong vs Delgado

Good start so far to the season. Let's keep it up.

Nice day and the bats stayed hot.... Need to beat up on this team.... Hudson has been money against the DBacks and continued his dominance.... The stage is set for Lincecum and Voglesong to prove that they still have something left.... This rotation is a huge question mark and the next two games need to provide some positive answers.... Tim can't put guys on in front of the two big bats.... No giving up the big first inning.... And no crooked numbers.... Or he gets the crooked eye....

This is not just another Wednesday night game against a last place team.... It's time for Lincecum to get back to being smoking hot on the mound.... tired of the schizo routine.... keys as I see them are.... NO WALKS.... keep the ball down.... control the pace.... No mistakes to Goldschmidt or Trumbo.... this is set up for Lincecum to dominate and set the tone for the rest of the year.... a poor outing would be devastating....

Amanda Bynes was smoking hot back in the day too.... damn....

Absolutely horrible....this starting pitching is horrendous.... We have 2 1/2 starters.... Cain being the 1/2....

Well that was ugly. But we still have a chance to take the series on Thursday night. Honestly though, we should be sweeping a team like Arizona.

Goldschmidt owns Timmy.

You would think that the law of averages at some point would favor timmy when it comes to golds**t.

7 HRs, 500+ BA ... in like 24 or so ABs such ridiculousness

Timmy just should not be allowed to pitch against him. lol.

The homer to Goldschmidt was awful.... But the two out base hit by Arroyo then the blast by Parra could have been even worse.... We all want to believe that Tim can turn this around but it doesn't look very promising.... Voglesong tonight is another shaky deal.... His best seasons are behind him and he leaves balls up in the zone way too much now.... If he can avoid the 3rd or 4th inning damage on the second time through the lineup.... maybe he can piece together the definition of a quality start.... Giants should have the bats tonight cause Delgado is not very good.... I would be surprised to see a pitchers duel from these two....

The Giants desperately miss another lefty in their rotation.... Four right handers in a row is not the best situation.... Cain's inability to pitch like an ace kills the Giants in more ways than 1....

I'm honestly more worried about Cain.

Nobody believes anymore that Lincecum can be an ace.... those days are over.... unfortunately....

But I do think we need Cain to be an ace.... This rotation would set up so much better if Cain could get his act together.... and if he doesn't.... this team can't compete long term with this pitching as it's currently staffed....
