Friday, April 4 - @Dodgers - 1:10 PM - Vogelsong vs Ryu
Saturday, April 5 - @Dodgers - 1:10 PM - Bumgarner vs Maholm
Sunday, April 6 - @Dodgers - 5:00 PM - Cain vs Greinke
Predictions? How many games do we take?
Probably not a sweep. I'd be very happy with two. We can get away with the sloppy play against Arizona, but not LA. If Bumgarner and Cain do their thing, we can win the weekend slate.
C'mon Vogey!
p.s. Puig is benched because he was late to BP

Six runs in the first inning off Ryu? Did I suddenly die and go to heaven? If this means the Giants win the World Series every year -- this ain't such a bad deal...

KEEP IT UP

Madison Bumgarner 6 1/3 innings, 10 Ks, first W of season, and more sweet coming at Dodger Stadium.
Now get the sweep with Matt Cain starting Sunday. We missed Clayton Kershaw in the rotation.
It would be great to start the season off with 7 road games, and win 6 of them.

He will have a good start. Doesn't really matter if the offense keeps going the way it is TBPH

Yeah, the offense is scorching and that's nice to see.... But we need Cain to get right and stay right to compete for the pennant.... Tonight's the night to begin earning our trust back....
Pretty much what I expected with Cain.... He has no chance against a good lineup while opposing a decent pitcher.... He's at best a #3 now.... but because of his contract and the general mediocrity of the rest of this staff he has to be a #2.... We have to hope the Dodgers implode cause this could be over by June....

Nothing to complain about when taking two out of three against a good team while on the road. A lot of positives to take away from this series.

The series win was a nice way to start but there is major cause for concern here.... We don't match up well against the Dodgers top two starters at all.... Not that anybody does but.... The Dodgers bullpen dominates as well which is the unfortunate kicker to all this.... The key to beating LA will be scoring a ton against the back end of their rotation and then hoping our starters/relievers can hang on.... probably have to flip Cain and Hudson in the rotation down the road....
