hunter pence

pence traded to the gmen, what do you guys think? i personally think its a good move.

yeah buddy!!!!!!!! its official just announced on mlb network! and thinking this is a good move, well thats an understatement shoulda been here last year instead of beltran but, better late than never.

Ive always liked pence... I like his energy.... But I'm mad they traded schierholtz. When I was a kid I became a dodger fan for a few weeks when Brett butler got traded to the dodgers cause he was my favorite player. I'm not about to do that here But I hope Nate does get a chance and does great.

On Pence.... I'm just a little worried about Pence in right.... He's not a great outfielder, and he has a lot to cover at AT&T. Maybe move Melky to right and Pence to left. Hopefully we get the good hitting Pence and not the guy he has been as of late. If he can hit .300 for us or close to then its a great pickup.

when pablo comes back you will see a difference with pence in the lineup

Awesome pickup. I think he can solidify the middle of this lineup.

Glad we got him this time. And we get him for next year too. Even better.

Hit it right on the nail. Looking back at the trades, he did more for the phillies last year than Beltran did for us.

It is amazing though how sports talk guys and baseball analysts are never satisfied. Some question the Pence trade because they feel like the Giants gave up too much, and some even question Pence's worth. On the flipside, if the Giants stand pat then they get the usual flack about being cheap. It's hilarious, but that's their job I guess.

I personally like the trade. Now we need some bullpen help.

Ryan Dempster to the Texas Rangers. Important because that means the Dodgers did not get him.

Im glad we got Pence but I think it was Pagan that should have been traded and not Nate. That imho was a stupid move. I like Pagan but his average has gone into the toilet and this team paid too much to get him for a .190 AVG. It's the main reason Scutaro was penciled in to lead off.

If I could get in my time machine, I wish we could have got him last year and still had Zack Wheeler in the organization.

That being said, I think the Giants are well setup to go deep. No huge bombers, but a lot of solid hitters that can get hot.

Man I hope Belt does something soon. I am so sick of watching him strikeout.....

what the f is wrong with people? some guys need to watch more baseball, who the hell thinks pence is not good in the outfield lol, and on espn radio here in reno they were talking about how its a bad pickup cuz his hole career has been the DL.................are you serious? CMON MAN! boggles my mind that i still dont have a job doing this stuff and these guys are getting paid to feed bs smh, and also that people are upset we traded nate to get HUNTER FRIGGEN PENCE! 1000% upgrade and a guy that could have taken more to get, and if it did take more, still no one should be upset. ridiculous

This was a great trade I felt we gave up a good amount and nothing too valuable. The best thing about this trade was getting a quality hitter and not giving up Gary Brown or Joe Panik or any of our top prospects. This could end up being a steal for the Giants actually.

So pence has had 402 at bats this year.... And 17 home runs... With a batting average of .269 obp of .333 slugging of .443 ..... That's just outstanding!!!!???

Nate has had 180 at bats..... And 6 home runs... With a batting average of .261... With an obp of .328.... Slugging of .444 Hmmmmmmm I'm not very good at math but that's pretty f...in similar.... I did some math and.... A 1000% upgrade would have a little bit better numbers than that. Just a little.... Okay a lot! But I don't watch baseball.... Oh wait..... Maybe you don't...
