Sadly this is true. The man is stuck on 10 games. 8-2. If I were rescued from a a desert island with no outside news sources available to me and looked up the season line, I would think that Zito got injured and sat a good part of the season. Both him and Caino.
Hell every one of our Starters are snakebit in this regard. Thank god for Torres, Huff and Posey. Burrell not so much but he has his moments. Otherwise our lineup is full of hackers and have a better chance of hitting into DPs' than getting on 1st. Man, Boch has done a halfway decent job this season but I think it's time for Management to cut the cord and go with someone else. Who, I don't know but c'mon Boch rarely if ever calls for a bunt, he leaves statues on the bag when the Hit and Run should be on and in general has allowed the Lineup to waste solid Pitching.
Instead of going the Small ball route when it's necessary, he mucks with the Batting Order. Guys can't get comfortable and know they can rely on their teammates to get them around even now when he's not messing with it alot because it's a given that he WILL mess with it. So the hackers keep hacking and hitting into DPs' cause BB can't manage w/o his Almanac. Sad thing is when he managed the Madres, they WERE a small ball team. And he managed them like it. Pretty sure if someone looked around LAX they'd find that part of his management skills laying around someplace.
