i also do not know why the giants dont feel it necessary to steal 2nd with 2 outs and a decent leadoff guy up at the plate. velez earlier in the game when renteria was up would have been a good time to steal. and same when schierholtz was up with velez on deck earlier. if you succeed you have a guy in scoring position if you get caught you still have a decent guy startin up the next inning. i swear bochy shuts his mind down on game days.

Well, 2 back now.
We deserved to lose this game. Too many missed opportunities.

This offense is really frustrating to watch. They need to get rid of everyone on offense for next year!

Great idea putting uribe in clean up. 0-5 witha k. I don't know why ishikawa is in the lineup and not posey.

putting uribe at the 4 spot was not a terrible idea...he's been one of the hottest hitters on the giants and we need to mix it up on offense. i would rather see him there than molina. ishikawa and posey are completely different positions, so that has nothing to do with anything.
maybe posey instead of whiteside and i definitely wouldnt mind seeing posey in there. maybe they wanted to save his first start for at&t park. our lineup is horrible and none of them know the style of play that they should be playing. move runners around, steal bases with base stealers, sac flies, sac bunts, and play smart. COME ON GIANTS WE'RE STILL IN THIS!!!

Has Posey even have hit yet? Why they call him up and not play at all?

I believe the only reason Posey was called up was because Bengie was injured. If Bengie is normal and then Posey never gets the call. I think it was a mistake to bring the kid up. With Bochy's rep for not playing the rooks, Posey is just going to sit for 30 days. I would think he gets no more than 10 ABs this month at the most.

I feel the same way... I just hope this doesn't stunt his growth as a player to be sitting the whole time getting no ABs at all. He might have been better served playing the rest of the year in the minors and then bringing him up next year with a prominent role besides bench warmer. At least he was getting quality at bats against good competition, now he just sits.
