Bochy is an Idiot!

Why the hell do you take Zito out! Why the hell do you take out Affeldt so Wilson can face Helton. Yes they won but if the giants get into the playoffs and dis guy manages the bullpen this way the Giants are screwed. Great year but get rid of him and Sabean after the year!!!

have you not seen zito pitch at all this year? once it goes, it goes in a hurry. he doesn't finish games in the same manner that cain or lincecum do.

Definitely thought Zito deserved one more chance. One more batter, if he gives up a hit, pull him. The lead was still 5-1.

i would've liked for him to finish it as well. that'd really give them 4 legit starters that can go all the way. but at the same time, if you leave him in for another batter or two and then the bullpen does what it did (allowing them to score) that blemish goes on zito's record and we have this same thread w/ same title for him not bringing zito out earlier.

8.1 giving up 1 run is much better than 2 or 3 =s

he pitched absolutely great, you do not need a starter to go 9 innings. 8.1 innings pitched is awesome in today's game and it does show that we have 4 legit starters. zito has probably been one of our best pitchers this second half if the lineup could score him runs who knows where we would be in the division and/or wild card.

I guess you guys aren't catching the situationally moves that I am discussing. Zito fine whatever, it goes fast blahblahblah, he was fine. Its the fact that bochy used 3 guys from the pen and pulled the lefty on lefty matchup, Helton dominates Wilson. He plays match-ups with our hitters but when it comes to a key situation for our pitchers matching up he throws his book out the window.

I was complaining about the use of the bullpen and how he did it, moronic. Zito could have faced 1 more guy. Bochy is so by the book when it comes to his lineup but throws it out when it comes to our pen especially against a team that thinks our pen is School of the Sisterhood, the way they have treated them lately. Zito has given up 1 earned run in 3 starts this year against the Rockies this year alone. He could have gotten one more out and saved 3 arms from the pen for tomorrow's hold your breathe moment, instead now a days rest thrown out the window for our 3 top guys out of the pen. Bochy your an idiot!

No.. Im thinking the idiot here isnt Bochy but the people thinking he is doing a bad job and should be fired. The guy has a team with a horrible lineup tied for the WC with 1 month to go.

Zito had thrown a lot of pitches last night and just gave up a homer to a lefty. It was time for him to go. Bochy made all the right moves but his relief pitchers did not do their jobs. He cant throw the pitches. I thought each move was right.

Are you ACNiner on the NinerZone? You seem to love to second guess Bochy as much as he does and wrong just as often.

Bochy may be an idiot, but he made the right call taking Zito out that late in the game.

He isnt an idiot and he did make the right call on Zito. It makes me laugh how guys who know nothing about baseball constantly second guess this guy. For christ sake.. the team is tied for the WC race with one of the worst lineups ever. Give Bochy just a little credit.

Not all Giants fans. However, based on comments you make I would say without reservation that I do know a hell of a lot more than you about baseball and the Giants.

You are the typical fan that second guesses Bochy after every game, calls him an idiot, and then wont give him credit for the good job he is doing holding this team together. Why dont you post what Bochy should do BEFORE the results rather than second guessing everything.

Right. This team that is so loaded that Bochy has been forced to bat guys like Randy Winn, Nate Schierholtz, and RYan Garko in the power spots. This is the team that is 26th in all of bseball in runs scored, 27th in slugging average, and basically near or at the bottom in all key offensive categories.

Yet.. the Giants are tied for the WC lead. The Giants are 2nd in baseball in sac flies, and 9th in all of baseball in laying down sacrifice bunts. There stolen base % is 73% which is 6th best in the NL. Basically what these stats show is that Bochy is getting as much as possible out of a horrible offensive team handed him by the idiot Biran Sabean.

It is so easy to second guess managers over an entire 162 game season. I question some moves too. However, one thing I do know. Bochy has forgotten more baseball than you will ever know. He is the best manager the Giants have had in many years and fricking lightyears ahead of Dusty Baker.

Just curious.. what are all of these stupid decisions and incompetency? Oh.. maybe you can say what he should do BEFORE the fact rather than always after the fact.
